Winter of 2004, December to be exact, a calling was made to the youth from our church to participate in our first Pastorela ever. Jesus Torres and Carolina Vargas took the bull by the horns when around 25 youth responded to the calling. The Pastorela went great and this is when Jufra was born in our parish. Jufra stands for Juventud Franciscana (Franciscan Youth). We are a group for the youth that listen to God's calling to become a better person. Join us every Friday at 7pm and see that God is the only and true solution to your problems. We are committed to making the world a better place not only by becoming better people and learning to show others that God loves us, but also by contributing to the community in great ways. Come and see how the youth can change the world one step at a time!
Invierno del 2004, Diciembre para ser exactos, se hizo un llamado a los jovenes de nuestra parroquia a participar en nuestra primera Pastorela. Jesus Torres y Carolina Vargas agarraron el toro por los cuernos cuando alrededor de 25 jovenes respondieron a el llamado. La pastorela fue todo un exito y este fue el nacimiento de Jufra en nuestra parroquia. Jufra significa Juventud Franciscana. Somos un grupo para los jovenes que aceptamos el llamado de Dios a ser mejores personas. Ven los Viernes a las 7pm y ve con tus propios ojos que Dios es la unica y verdadera solucion a todos tus problemas. Estamos comprometidos en hacer este mundo un mejor lugar no solo al ser mejores personas y aprendiendo como enseñar a otros que Dios nos ama, sino tambien contribuyendo a la comunidad en excelentes maneras. Ven y ve como la juventud puede cambiar el mundo un paso a la vez!
