EXTRAORDINARY (EUCHARISTIC) MINISTERS
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are lay people who distribute the Body or Blood of Jesus Christ to the people at Mass when there are not enough priests or deacons present to do so. Other such ministers take Communion to the sick and homebound on behalf of the entire parish community. Communion is to be distributed reverently while acknowledging the sanctity of the position of extraordinary minister.
Applicants must be confirmed, be in good standing with the Catholic faith and, if married, must be in a valid marriage through the Catholic Church. Training is provided before being assigned on the schedule.

MINISTROS EUCARISTICOS EXTRAORDINARIOS
Ministros Extraordinarios de la Eucaristía son laicos que distribuyen el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Jesucristo a las personas en la misa cuando no hay suficientes sacerdotes o diáconos presentes para hacerlo. Otros de estos ministros toman la Comunión a los enfermos y confinados en nombre de toda la comunidad parroquial. La Comunión se distribuye con reverencia al mismo tiempo que se reconoce la santidad de la posición de un ministro extraordinario.
Los solicitantes deben ser confirmadas, estar en buenos términos con la fe católica y, si es casado, debe estar en un matrimonio válido por la Iglesia Católica. La formación se imparte antes de ser asignado en el calendario.
